Job: Mechanical Engineer – Automation

Our client, a leader in the automation industry, is currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Concord, ON on a full-time permanent basis.  The successful candidate will be responsible to:

• Lead new product development projects;
• Perform engineering calculations;
• Produce detailed models and manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials for equipment, sub-assemblies using SolidWorks;
• Among other design and engineering duties

Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ Years related mechanical engineering experience – preferably within an automation and/or machine design environment
• Advanced understanding of how to work with a solid modelling in SolidWorks software for machine design with working knowledge of SolidWorks PDM
• Detail Oriented
• Able to visit customer sites as needed
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Salary: $65,000 – $90,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)
