Job: Mechanical Designer

Our client, a leader in the heavy industrial equipment sector, is currently seeking a Mechanical Designer to join their team on a full time, permanent position. The ideal candidate will be a part of the company’s design team in North Bay, ON and be responsible for creating new Solidworks 3D models and perform revisions to existing 3D models, produce detailed and accurate shop drawings for mechanical equipment, machined parts and custom fabrications, among other duties as assigned. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary Education in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years related design experience
• Previous experience in the underground mining industry an asset
• Working knowledge of 3-D  software design programs, preferably Solidworks
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Salary: $20 – $33 per hour
