Job: Quality Manager – Metal

Our client, a leader in the metal manufacturing space is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join their team in the Barrie, ON area. The ideal candidate will be will be responsible for overseeing the quality department, conduct regular audits and maintain company’s certifications at all time, release and implement manufacturing instructions and inspection and test plans for production, initiate continuous improvement within the respective departments, Provide technical expertise in quality measures by remaining current in relevant standards and guidelines, among quality manager duties as assigned. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree in Material Science, Metallurgy, or a related field
• Professional Engineers of Ontario designation (maintain current standing) is considered an asset
• Certification in Six sigma, Lean Manufacturing program, or similar
• 8 years leadership experience in a QA/QC role in a manufacturing, ideallyin a metal or alloy environment
• Experience in Metallurgical and Fabrication operations
• Able to read blueprints and interpret accordingly
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written

Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 per year (dependent upon qualifications and experience)
