Job: Controls Engineer

Our client, a leading manufacturing and automation company, is currently seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team in the Ottawa, ON area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the complex design and development of electrical controls systems, testing, installation, commissioning and the safe operation of electronic equipment and systems, industrial process controls systems, computer systems and networks, among other duties as assigned. This is a full time, permanent position.

Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary Education in Engineering or an Electrical background
• 10+ years related Controls Engineering experience
• Experience with PLC programming, HMI design, SCADA design, electrical design
• Experience interacting with customers on-site
• Able to travel to customer sites in Ontario and USA as needed
• Excellent communication skills

Compensation: $90,000 per year
